My wife's 2020 Mazda 6 has been sitting for a few days. She went out and cleaned the car up for a trip and when she came in said that the car wouldn't start. I don't know if the trunk had been left unlatched the last time she used it but I do know I had a USB thumb drive plugged in. This is not really the problem.
After charging up the battery I started the car. All is good except the fuel gauge reads empty and the get fuel light was on. After driving it down the driveway and back the get fuel light went out but it still reads close to empty. I know there is more than 3/4 of a tank in there.
What is the solution to getting the fuel gauge working again?
