Having issues with both my key fobs. I have replaced both fob batteries and even my car battery but neither fob will start the car without putting the fob right by the push button. The message on the dash says the fob battery is low. HELP PLEASE!!!

I don't understand. The fob doesn't start the engine unless you have the optional remote start, is that what you are talking about?

The Fob doesn’t have the remote start option but it has to be with the vicinity of the car for the push button start to work.

That is normal. I keep mine in my pocket.

CJ it’s not normal that I have to put the fob right against the push button start. It’s definitely not normal that I have to push the button several times even after I do that.

If my fob was in my pocket and I pushed the start button AND it actually started, I wouldn’t be on here asking for help.

Ah! That is messed up! Sorry about that. And I see you changed the batteries as well. Pretty much a brand new car, what did the dealer say? Have you put any after market electronics on the car? I dunno, could something be preventing the signal?

I have an appt with the dealership on Monday. It’s just crazy that both fobs are inop. No aftermarket parts at all. I’ll keep you posted!
