Hello,
I have 2005 Tribute "i"
I could not find answer ti this particular problem:
my airbag light is blinking (3 times, 9 or 10 series) than turns on. I read that I supposed to count blinks so I think that is important.
Recently I hit the roe-deer , It seems that car is OK, no other problems, (except maybe that radiator is slightly bended), but the airbag then did not explode.
Unfortunately, It happened right after I took my car with me to Europe, so I would like to repair it myself if it possible.
Can someone tell me what kind of error code is that? In worst case scenario I will go to the dealer here, but tribute is not available in Europe as such so I would have to import all parts :(
I am new in forum so If someone already asked about it - forgive me

I had simular problem with my airbag light and after reading a post in here I looked under the driverside seat and found that a wire was broken going to a plug. I repaired the wiring and the light cleared and has not been back.
Hope this helps.

This helped me....I am not sure if it was the wire under my driver or passenger seat but I found connectors under both. I pushed them all in tight and it didn't stop the flashing. I decided I would replace the connectors when I got a chance the following weekend. (It was the only place I could think to start and it didn't seem like it would be too expensive, it's easy to do and at the very least, new.) BUT, somewhere from when I pushed them in tighter and the next night the light went off and stopped blinking and hasn't since. I don't know when it happened and maybe it was just me shutting it off and it reset the sensor but I wasn't paying attention because when I had pushed them in and it didn't work I was like "Of course"...lol. Thank you for your post!

I am adding my comment to show others what happened because 1.) I wish people would try to remember to come back and say something if they had an experience and 2.) I almost went and bought the parts to replace them right then when the light didn't go off and I would have replaced them for nothing...I wouldn't have known but you know...
