1986 Mazda B2000 resistor looks this! Will the other ones without blue wire work or do I need blue wire for it to work right? I put this one on last year and it already burnt out.

With the new resistor, don't run the fan until the blower motor and resistor are in place, as there'd be no cooling air flowing over the resistor until installed.
In 28 years with my 1988, I've only had to replace the resistor once.
