Aloha... New guy here. Have a 1994 B2300 truck and I'm int process of replacing the timing belt. I can see the timing mark for the cam, have the crank set before pulling balancer off but for the life of me, I don't see where the timing mark for the oil pump lines up at on the block/cover back. Does this have to be timed for this year engine? There isn't a distributor being driven by the pump and I'm getting a little short on patience right now... its an Old guy thing!! LOL:wink:

I was going to change the crankshaft sensor while there too but... after see the cost of the bloody thing and not seeing how to get the wire harness out from behind the P/S bracket... I gave up on that idea.

OK, Got it together and running. I took the gamble that the oil pump didn't need to be timed. There is no distributor and makes around the oil pump sprocket to time to. It fired right up and ready for a road test.. Have to wait for that as the neg. batt. terminal broke and is just holding on with visegrips... Just had to know..

I also passed on the new crankshaft sensor. at 180 buck in Hilo, I can wait until it dies LOL.....

Aloha

I show numerous choices for that Crankshaft sensor... You may want to shop around online or where ever. Just a thought

Thanks for the info! Alas, this little truck of mine will not be around long. With 175000 miles on it and lots of rust, I'm looking to replace it and will pass it along to someone else when I find the right truck.. Not a lot to pick from on this island and looking as far as the Seattle/Tacoma area. Have family there that could ship the right ride.....
