coupla questions. where are these made? if china, they have no quality control, no copyright laws, no morals, no ethics. like motorcycle helmets. if you got a 29.95 brain, then get a 29.95 helmet

the company may be hq in germany, but that dont mean the parts are made in germany. checkitout:

One consumer complaint resolved for Febest Auto Parts - South East Florida BBB

i am always suspicious of companies who name themselves similar to established ones. febi-bilstein is an established german company, but when i was in the parts business, febi was not considered the best. and them germans are sneaky. we had a huge problem with bmw rocker arms distributed by febi. we had hundreds in stock, and i(i was the bmw product manager) condemned them all, and pulled them off the shelf. febi sent 2 reps from germany. they said they did have a problem, but it had been fixed. ok, i says. i go to the warehouse, pull out several rocker arms and a rocker shaft. i install all the rocker arms on the shaft, and it was easy to see them all out of line, which meant the hole for the mounting on the shaft was not squared. this would mean each rocker would not engage the end of the valve correctly, and some would miss the whole thing. when i showed them to the reps, they turn and start talking real fast in german, which i dont understand, then they say that a few may have made it past quality control. i tell them that we have like 1200 in stock, and they are all bad, and are going back to them. i tell them that the word in the aftermarket is to not use the febi-bilstein rockers, and none of our customers will touch them. then there are reboxers. these sneaky suckers would get boxes made in germany that said made in germany on them. then they would put a counterfeit part made in a third world country in the box. and try to sell them as german. then there are the outright counterfeiters. third world countries have no copyright laws. parts would come in with bmw, mercedes, porsche, etc marques on them, the actual part numbers, even. but just looking at the part, one could tell they were of very poor quality. for instance, most suspension parts have cold rolled threads. cold rolled threads always have a dimple in the end where the tool held it, then the threads were rolled. the buttco stuff would have a dimple made by a drill bit, and most of them were way off center. in those days, counterfeit and reboxed parts were not very common. now, it seems like all the parts are buttco. rockauto is in business to make money. that means they buy low, and sell high. you have a lot to learn
