So I removed the bed on my Mazda to swap out the fuel tank/pump only to find two alien devices on top of the fuel tank (circled red in the pic). I've never seen anything like them, so I a haven't a clue as to what they are. Anyone know what these device are and what purpose they serve? Finally, will they also need to be replaced?

A good way to figure things out is to follow trails that they may provide for you - did you check and see where those lines lead to? Off the cuff I'd hazard to say they are part of the sending unit/fuel feed line assembly on your fuel tank. There's also most surely an evaporator vent tube amongst those items - I've heard of there being two vent tubes for Mazda RX-7 models. I'm not sure about B-series trucks....

I also have an 89 B2600. Did you find out what those were? I have been making a list of stuff on my truck that needs fixed or checked and the gas tank and float are on that list lol.
