Hi to everyone from Sydney, Australia !

My Eunos 800M (Millenia S) needs it's major service (100K km)

I have read lots of problems with Mazda dealers not doing a good job on these cars (and crazy prices), and I need quite a few things done to mine... I would like to find some GOOD companies to perform work on my car.

Can anyone assist with recommendations ? I don't mind taking it to different companies for each problem... I don't really want to get ripped off, but don't mind paying $$ if a good job is done !

1) Major Service - timing belt, plugs, valve adjustment etc. Prefer Mazda dealer (for log-book records mainly) - is there any good dealer service centres in Sydney?

2) Remote Locking dead - won't respond to re-programming (no beeps after key on/off x 3 then door open/close x 3)

3) Front shocks getting loose - I guess a strut insert conversion rather than new OEM struts ?

4) Bushes in front suspension pretty bad too (do at same time as shocks)

5) Work out why the smoke at startup, and under hard accelleration (oil usage) - I'd like accurate diagnosis, not just the standard "supercharger oil seal, $4K please" answer :blink:

6) CD-changer just decided not to change disks (it still plays single CDs)

Yep, quite a bit to do - but I payed a VERY good price for the car, so I don't mind spending money (I budgetted for it when I bought the car a few months ago).

Please assist me with recommendations if you can - I'm sure anything you reply will assist me !

1. Drivers side door armrest (mine is broken internally)
2. OEM floor mats (front) in grey

Welcome aboard Nicholas. :)

I have decided to go to my Mazda dealer for everything except jobs that specialists can handle, such as brakes and suspension. I've got my first service (in my time with the car) this Thursday and I have absolutely no idea how traumatic the price tag will be, or what will be done. I'll let you guys know. :D

A Milly S. :p The base model 2.5 was called the 800, and was dropped before too long.

:)

Basically the best thing we get you guys dont is full time 4WS. We also get 2 piece projector headlights, slightly different taillights, some different paint options, and ofcourse the Eunos label.
And last but not least, the placebo effect that your supposedly driving a higher class luxury car whihc is in the same category as mercedes, bmw lexus, and not the same class ford and toyota such as mazda fits more into.


We paid a fair bit extra than you guys for that last bit.

I've been asked where the badges go so here are a couple of pics. This one was taken on the day I took delivery. :angel:



And this one was the other day when I was about to give it a wash.

I have the rarer style badging where it says Eunos on the right and 800 on the left and and its only given away that its an M spec by the Miller cycle engine badge at the bottom which is totally seperated from the 800.

Its the top of the range fully optioned from factory however as i found out (factory all round woodgrain, the grand wheel caps with the real blue/gold/silverEunos badging on them instead of just burned into the plasctic like the others)

pictures, urrrghh i'll see what I can do :p

my damn eunie doesnt have that "lip" in snake's picture that the badges are attached to. it also looks like I put the MCE badge too low. but since I have the stupid chrome license plate trim, I'm gonna have to mount them where the "millenia" badge went. i tried taping them on just to see how they'd look in troutman's placement, but they look too big in that spot. i guess its because the chrome. hey snake lets trade rear windowglass :D i want that sneaky looking ABS logo.


remember the "V6" badge they had stuck on it in the eunie book? i think i want one...

Does anyone know which badges come from corksport? I know you can buy them on there but I want to know which ones you get and what they look like
