Looks right! Somebody said the distributor works the oil pump by a shaft may have come out when I took head off!Does your B2000 engine have a B2000 head gasket even if your cylinder head has been changed to a B2200 cylinder head?
Could you have installed the head gasket incorrectly so oil hole(s) are blocked?

Am I correct in assuming that you are cranking the engine with valve cover off (like with coil wire disconnected so engine doesn't start) and see no oil????
Its got the B2000 head on itLooks right! Somebody said the distributor works the oil pump by a shaft may have come out when I took head off!
That's not the way I understand things !!! Oil pump is low on the engine block, distributor is driven from the cylinder head.Looks right! Somebody said the distributor works the oil pump by a shaft may have come out when I took head off!
I did change oil and filter! Took head off just now and checking things out!Let's assume that you changed the oil and filter when you changed the head gasket. Oil has to fill the oil filter before it can get pumped around.
Parts store give me wrong oil filter it did screw on but would not filter oil. Got right one and now its pumping! Thanks all for your help!I did change oil and filter! Took head off just now and checking things out!
Sounds like the someone that said that has worked on domestic V8's and not Mazda 4-bangers! The oil pumps for these Mazda engines are driven by the crankshafts.......the oil pump fits over the front snout of the crankshaft.....so if the crank is rotating, your oil pump is pumping oil......unless you've removed it!Looks right! Thanks for the comment, they figured this out after they looked it up! My problem was they gave me the wrong oil filter would not pump thru it , changed it now all is good!!Sounds like the someone that said that has worked on domestic V8's and not Mazda 4-bangers! Glad all is OK now !Parts store give me wrong oil filter it did screw on but would not filter oil. Got right one and now its pumping! Thanks all for your help!
Just be wary of what any ol' "somebody" says or posts about vehicles - always give a thought or three whether it makes sense, or trust someone who has hands-on experience with such vehicle. I have 1970 and 1971 VWs (as well as my B2200 and 2 Frontiers), and some posts I read are entirely ridiculous and off-base.Somebody said the distributor works the oil pump by a shaft may have come out when I took head off!
