The saga continues!
Bought my 2005 Mazda B2300, original engine with 153,000 miles , but, it uses oil.
Had a pisser of a time to finding low mileage used motor.
Finally got one, SUPPOSEDLY with 79,000.
Sh**! This one uses MORE oil!
I'm tired of this Bull****, I'll do the original motor over right and be done with it!!!!!
Shop that is boring block and head work told me to find crank cap bolts and connect rod bolts first.
Both Ford and Mazda don't have them, can't seem to find any aftermarket.
????!!!!
Worse case, I can get new connecting rod, but, no can find crank cap bolts.
Head and harmonic bolts, no problem, but, crank cap bolts no can find??!!
Any ideas???
Thank!
Joe

I found that kit number in another machine shop parts book.
I also found the, " Unstretched" Length.
It get inspected next Friday,( Pa. safety inspection), if the tech gives it the ," thumbs up" that it' all last a few more years life in it, I'll call and order and start gathering parts.
