It's me again. My tranny was shifting alot from time to time. Now my tranny has very poor acceration everytime it switches to a new gear. It hesitates, and feels as if it's going to stall out on me. Then it runs fine. Then it starts to act up again. Mostly when I first take off. This has just started happening to me on the highway. I pray to God it's not my tranny going. I love my car. The fluid is full, and very clearn. The engine has oil. It just started happening and it feels bad. I heard a tap sound like if a spark plug is misfiring in the engine. Any ideas what it can be. 115k miles. Where can I go get my tranny check by a professional, and not get ripped off? I hear so many nightmare stories. Is the dealer any good for diagnosis check? A millenia lover in need of help!!!!!!!! Will a complete tune up help any. I think my spark plugs are fried. Just bought the car 2 months ago. Don't think the dealership tuned it up....

well i refuse to take my milly for service at the mazda dealer i bought the car from which is farther from where i live, but the mazda dealer near me has the best service ive ever seen. its basically goes from dealer to dealer as far as service. and you should definityl get it a full inspection and probably a tune-up with the mileage you said it had. because the dealer didnt do anything to my car that they said they did. i needed new brakes and they didnt even change the oil. i suggest either taking it to a mechanic you trust or a dealer, especially if you have the S model bc they know exactly how to deal with it. good luck

Do you smell any unusual odors coming from beneath your car? Do you hear grinding noises coming from the "transmission" area of your car? These are the normal symptoms of a "toasted" tranny, however these two symptoms can be accompanied by others ones as well.

My suggestion to you, is to take your can to Amaco and have them run a diagnostic on your car. A diagnostic should run you under $100.00. I personally think, you may have a bad sensor-that's just my speculation! But have a franchised tranny specialist look at your Millenia whatever you do. You'll have more recourse in the event of a disaster.

If it is your tranny that is bad, I highly suggest that you simply get a re-built one, because you have a lot of miles on your car. And a re-build will last as long as you'd want to keep the car, eventhough you just recently purchased it.

Thanks for all the help. Im happy to say that my tranny is working just fine. I think it's just a sensor, or a tune up. This week it's definitly getting a full service done.
