Has anyone experience a leaking thermostat housing when the car has cooled down? Mine is a 2001 Tribute 4 Cylinder.

I've tried stop leak (waste of time) and wonder if refitting the housing using high temperature silicone might be the go. But only as a temporary measure until I can source a replacement housing which is proving difficult (I know there are cheapies on ebay). There is nothing wrong with the seal, the housing for this or any other obvious damage, wear and tear, and it is just a slow leak ie a drip every second or two (at this stage).

I'll talk to my mechanic but just asking if anyone else has experienced a similar problem?
