My 93 NA has the Pioneer AM/FM, Cassette,CD stero w/factory subs under the seats. (At least I think it's factory, pics here:
Radio, Door speakers)

While the unit operates O.K. (light in radio display out, otherwise fine) it has no aux input or removable faceplate. Is the stereo and the amp control below it two separate units? What size radio do I need to replace it and add a small cubby compartment. Anyone out there ever replaced theirs and what did you run into as far as mounting hardware? I have found several stereos that have the aux inputs/sub out and would like to keep all the speakers operating and if possible not have to use a separate amp for the subs.

Go to Crutchfield as the prices are good for any budget plus they have great documentation and phone help! They even wire up your cable for you if needed!
